Rock Band Ensemble

Take the stage and explore the roots of American popular music in this dynamic performance ensemble. Through hands-on rehearsal and performance, students engage with the history and styles of rock and roll, drawing from folk, country, blues, rhythm & blues, and more. With flexible instrumentation and a collaborative rehearsal environment, you’ll build your musicianship while bringing iconic sounds to life—connecting musical traditions to today’s performance practices.

The ensemble is open to all adults as well as college and high school students. Students may choose to participate in the band, earning college credit (enrolling in MUS131) or for personal interest (enrolling in our Continuing Education option CSX131). Classes are offered each fall semester only.

Ensemble Registration Information 

Students may earn college credit by enrolling in ensemble classes (MUS) or the continuing education (CE) class option (CSX). Before you register for classes, complete the admissions application. The steps to complete the process differ for credit and continuing education students. Remember, students who have not taken classes at ECC for more than two calendar years must reapply for admission.
