ECC Concert Choir

The ECC Concert Choir, students build vocal technique, sight‑reading skills, and expressive musicality while working collaboratively as an ensemble. Weekly rehearsals explore a wide range of repertoire—from classical works to contemporary choral music—while introducing key concepts in music theory and history that deepen understanding and appreciation of the choral tradition. The choir is open to all adults as well as college and high school students. Students may choose to participate in the choir earning college credit (enrolling in MUS110) or for personal interest (enrolling in our Continuing Education option CSX110). Classes are offered each fall and spring semester.

Elgin Master Chorale

The Elgin Master Chorale (EMC) is a high-quality choral ensemble open to college-aged singers and community members. Students strengthen their vocal technique and musicianship through performances of diverse classical and contemporary repertoire. EMC offers a supportive, collaborative environment where singers gain confidence, meaningful performance experience, and a strong sense of artistic community. Participation in the master chorale requires audition, which is open to adults as well as college and high school students with prior choir experience. Students may choose to participate in the choir earning college credit (enrolling in MUS112) or for personal interest (enrolling in our Continuing Education option CSX112). Classes are offered each fall and spring semester.
