  • Elgin Community College Writers Center is an outreach program for students interested in developing writing and literature skills.

Child Care

The ECC Early Childhood Lab School offers flexible, campus-based child care for children ages six weeks through 5 years. Financial aid and state subsidies are accepted. Limited space is available each semester. Learn about the ECC Early Childhood Lab School.

AID Crisis Hotline

AID is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Text 833-AID-TEXT (833-243-8398) or call 630-966-9393. This Community Support Team for Aurora and Elgin provides 24-hour quality wrap-around services, including:

  • Recovery-oriented counseling to facilitate independent living
  • Assistance with obtaining Medical, Social Security, and other benefits
  • Prevention of homelessness
  • Increase compliance with medication and treatment
  • Reduction of symptoms
  • Increase job skills, social skills, and living skills
