Grades and Grade Point Average (GPA)

We understand the significance of your grades to you, and they hold equal importance to us. Your grade point average (GPA) is a vital measure of your academic journey in college. It plays a crucial role when considering transfer options and determining scholarship eligibility.

Standards of Academic Progress (SOAP)

Elgin Community College mandates that students maintain satisfactory academic progress in pursuit of their educational objectives, which entails achieving a cumulative GPA of at least 2.0. For details, see the Standards of Academic Progress policy.
