ECC has the resources you need to support your education.

Prospective Students


  • AccessECC-student portal: Enter into the browser URL and log in with your student credentials on your phone or web browser.
  • Computers: Chromebooks are available for checkout at the Library. If you need it for summer classes at ECC, let us know at
  • D2L My Classes: Online courses are a part of the D2L learning environment. Technology: If your course requires specific technology, please contact the instructor for help identifying the appropriate device you need to check out from the ECC Library.
  • D2L Student Orientation: Classes, online tutoring, and librarians within the platform.
  • D2L Technical Assistance: login, find the server status, and get technical support.
  • Drive-Up wi-fi Hotspots: Illinois state agencies released a wi-fi hotspot map to help students without internet access at home.
  • Gmail (Faculty & Student): When prompted, enter your full ECC student email address and your portal password.
  • Google Meet: Login with your student email and access meetings from anywhere with Internet access.
  • Library Circulation Department: Services are available remotely, curbside, and in person. Find more information, including hours of operation, on the library website, Questions? Email
  • Wireless Internet: Several providers are offering discounted wi-fi services.


Getting Support

ECC has the resources you need to support your education outside the classroom and help you sustain your academic pursuits.

  • Academic Advising: Student Services offers academic advising—Call 847-214-7390 to set up an appointment or use the student portal. Remote Academic Advising Drop-In sessions are available. To be placed on the drop-in list to speak to an advisor, please call 847-214-7390.Questions? Email
  • Academic Records: Outgoing transcripts and other services are available on the AccessECC portal. Questions? Email
  • Apprenticeships: Employers are actively hiring apprentices, email Lisa Utley or complete the interest form to sign up.

  • Career Development Services: Appointments are offered on-campus and remotely via Zoom and Telephone. Use the AccessECC portal or by calling 847-214-7390 to schedule an appointment. Questions? Email
  • Financial Aid: Our office is open to answering questions about completing your FAFSA and required forms and documents. We will also accept paperwork via email or fax (847-608-5460). Financial Aid will be awarded, and students who qualify for federal and/or state grants will be notified via your student email. Suppose you are not eligible for any grants. In that case, a letter will be mailed informing them and inviting them to contact our office regarding other forms of Aid, including scholarships, student employment, and student loans.   • International Education and Programs: Check your email frequently for updates and important information about maintaining nonimmigrant status.   • Internships: Begin or continue planning for your placement. Questions? Email Joseph Onesimus or complete the interest form.
  • Registration: Schedule an on-campus appointment by calling 847-214-7393.
  • Scholarships: If you have applied for a Foundation or Board of Trustees Academic Scholarship and if you are awarded one (or both), you will receive an email confirming which scholarship(s) you receive and the amount(s). Applications are being accepted. If your private scholarship is mailed to ECC, check with the Financial Aid and Scholarships Office at 847-214-7360 to confirm ECC received it and that you have been awarded the scholarship. If your sponsor cannot send the check at this time, let us know to help you.
  • Spartan Success: If you receive communication from your academic advisor or John Long, please know the purpose is to assist you. Respond to the request to meet as quickly as possible. Advisors can conduct meetings by phone or online. 
  • Spartan Pantry: ECC Students can receive pre-assembled food packages. Questions? Email
  • Student Accounts: Go to the Self-Service Menu. Select Student Menu, click Student Finance, and then select Make a Payment.
  • Student Access and Disability Services: If you have not yet requested accommodation letters through our online system, go to Disability Services under Returning Students, and click on Request Form. New Students click on the Registration Form.   • Student Life: New and replacement Student Photo IDs are available in the Student Life office.
  • Testing Services: Remote Testing is available for ReadingWriting, and Math placement. For more information, visit Testing Services for steps to access these tests. Register for on-campus testing.
  • TRiO: Student Support Services (SSS), Student Support Services ESL (SSSESL), Talent Search, and Upward Bound 
  • Tutoring/The Write Place: Tutoring staff will be in the office to answer the phone from Monday to Thursday. Call 847-214-7256. Live online tutoring is available seven days a week via Google Meet. Questions? Email

  • Wellness Services: Schedule an appointment with ECC's Wellness Services department today if you need emotional support. We encourage students to utilize the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 800-273-TALK (8255) and The National Domestic Violence Hotline at 800-799-7233
