Senior Citizens who are ages 62 and over at the start of the term will receive a 50% reduction in tuition. In order to receive the discount, senior citizens must present photo ID in person at the Student Accounts office (B151). Senior Citizens who are 65 years of age or older by the start of the term may be eligible for a full tuition waiver of in-district tuition if the they are under a specific income level as outlined in the Senior Citizen Courses Act (110 LCS990)*. To apply for this waiver, senior citizens must complete this Senior Waiver and present it to the Student Accounts office. Senior citizens who are ages 65 and older can continue to receive the tuition discount of 50% if they do not qualify for the full tuition waiver or do not wish to complete the application. Senior citizens are still responsible for all lab fees, course fees and enrollment fee for both the discount and the full waiver. *Some restrictions apply. See Student Accounts. |

Fees
Enrollment Fees
Students enrolling in credit classes pay an enrollment fee of $6 per student, per semester.
Testing Fees
Nominal fees are charged to administer some tests given by the college’s testing center and career development. Placement and assessment tests are free.
Course Fees

Labratory Fees
Students are charged a fee for each laboratory course in which they enroll to cover the direct costs of lab materials and supplies. See the list of lab fees at .
Lab fees are refundable according to the refund schedule.
Instructional Fees
Instructional fees are assessed to offset higher cost teaching/learning environments. These courses require specialized consumable supplies and materials, specialized software, high tech equipment and equipment maintenance costs, individualized instruction, and low faculty to student ratios. Internet Fees
All students pay a lab/course fee of $20 per credit hour for courses offered online. The fee is refundable according to the refund schedule.
Payment Plan Fees
ECC offers payment plans as convenient ways to budget your educational expenses. They are not loan programs. No interest or finance charges are assessed. There is a non-refundable service fee of $30 per semester that will be added to your down payment.
