Student Resources (A-Z)

• Academic Advising: Student Services offers academic advising—Call 847-214-7390 to set up an appointment or use the student portal. To be placed on the drop-in list to speak to an advisor, please call 847-214-7390. Questions? Email advising@elgin.edu.
• Academic Records: Outgoing transcripts and other services are available on the AccessECC student portal. Questions? Email records@elgin.edu.
• Apprenticeships: Employers are actively hiring apprentices. Complete the interest form to sign up.
• Athletics: Team recruitment is active.
• Career Development Services: To schedule an appointment, use the AccessECC portal or call 847-214-7390. Questions? Email careerservices@elgin.edu.
• Financial Aid: Our office is open to answering questions about completing your FAFSA and required forms and documents. We will also accept paperwork via email or fax to 847-608-5460. 
• Gmail (Faculty & Students): Enter your full ECC email address and your portal password when prompted.
• Google Meet (Faculty & Students): Login with your email and access meetings from anywhere with Internet access.
• Graduation: If you're finishing your degree or certificate in August but want to be recognized in the May ceremony, meet the deadlines listed in the Self-Service App on the portal. Check your active program(s) in the Graduation Overview. Email records@elgin.edu with your name, student ID, and intended program if your program isn't listed. Order your free regalia (cap and gown) online by providing your height and weight.
• Internships: Begin or continue planning for your placement. Questions? Email Joseph Onesimus or complete the interest form.
• Library Circulation Department: Services are available remotely, curbside, and in person. In addition to books, audiobooks, music, and DVDs available for checkout, the Renner Academic Library also has Chromebooks, Windows laptops, graphing calculators, and Wi-Fi hotspots for students who need them. • Registration: Schedule an on-campus appointment by calling 847-214-7393.
• Scholarships: Applications are being accepted. If your private scholarship is mailed to ECC, check with the Financial Aid and Scholarships Office at 847-214-7360 to confirm ECC received it and that you have been awarded the scholarship. 
• Spartan Pantry: Students can receive pre-assembled food packages. Questions? Email spartanpantry@elgin.edu.
• Spartan Success: When a faculty member raises an early alert for a student, an academic advisor will meet with the student to understand any challenges they face and work together to create a personalized plan for ongoing success.
• Student Access and Disability Services: If you haven't requested accommodation letters yet, follow these steps: 
  • Returning Students: Go to Disability Services and select "Request Form."
  • New Students: Go to Disability Services and select "Registration Form."
• Student Accounts: The Student Accounts Office is the centralized billing and collection point for all college receivables. For student account or payment questions, email studentaccounts@elgin.edu.
• Testing Services: The Testing Center is in Building B, Room 115. From Building A, turn left and go straight; from Building B, turn right and go straight. Please bring a photo ID to complete your testing.
• TRiO: Student Support Services (SSS), Student Support Services ESL (SSSESL), Talent Search, and Upward Bound
• Tutoring/The Write Place: Tutoring is free at ECC! Choose from one-on-one, group, online, or in-person sessions with The Write Place and Math Lab. Whether you need exam tips or ongoing support, our professional tutors are here to help. Questions? Email tutoring@elgin.edu. 
• Veterans Services: Appointments are available on campus and remotely. Questions? Email our Veteran Services Coordinator, Anitra King aking@elgin.edu.
• Withdrawal and Registration: If you need to withdraw from a class, talk to your instructor and consult with your academic and financial aid advisors. For withdrawal procedures and deadlines, visit the Withdrawal Procedures webpage.
• Wellness Services: If you need emotional support, schedule an appointment with ECC's Wellness Services. Our licensed therapists offer free, confidential counseling for stress, anxiety, depression, and more. For immediate help, use the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline or call The National Domestic Violence Hotline at 800-799-7233.

Technology & Online Learning

• D2L Orientation: Review all materials before starting distance learning courses. Take the Orientation online to learn how to use the system.
• D2L Help: Call 847-214-7620 or email d2lhelpdesk@elgin.edu.
• Technology Borrowing: Request devices through the Renner Academic Library. Email circdesk@elgin.edu.
• Student Portal: Log in at portal.elgin.edu with your ECC credentials.

Teaching & Employee Resources

• File Access: Use your ECC login to access saved files remotely. Questions? Email helpdesk@elgin.edu.
• Help Desk: Report technical or access problems through the IT Help Desk. Open a ticket for help.
• my.Elgin.edu: Visit the employee intranet for announcements, calendars, and forms. Sign in to the Intranet.
• Microsoft 365 & Teams: Log in with your ECC email to access apps and virtual meetings anywhere. Learn about ECC's Microsoft products.
