Services
Grades and Grade Point Average (GPA)
We understand the significance of your grades to you, and they hold equal importance to us. Your grade point average (GPA) is a vital measure of your academic journey in college. It plays a crucial role when considering transfer options and determining scholarship eligibility.

Standards of Academic Progress (SOAP)
Elgin Community College mandates that students maintain satisfactory academic progress in pursuit of their educational objectives, which entails achieving a cumulative GPA of at least 2.0. For details, see the Standards of Academic Progress policy.
Transcript Requests
Your transcript is the official documentation of your academic journey at ECC, detailing the courses you've completed and the grades you've attained. You can request official copies of your transcript at no cost. Learn how to order ECC transcripts.
Update Your Information
Should you have a change in address, email, or phone number or wish to update your preferred name, personal pronouns, or gender identity, you have the option to make these updates through the accessECC Portal.
Transfer Credit Evaluation
Transferring to ECC from another college? You can receive credit for prior coursework by submitting your official transcript for evaluation by our team. Learn about transfer credit evaluation.

Granting Access to Your Records
Your educational records are confidential by law; no one can access your grades and other records without your permission. However, if you want someone to access your records, submit the consent to release information form.
