Desire2Learn (D2L)

Desire2Learn (D2L) Brightspace is the course management system used by ECC to deliver online and hybrid classes. It also enhances many face-to-face courses and offers a high-quality academic experience that can include integrated librarians, tutors, and more. You must be registered in a course using D2L to access the system. After registering for an online class, about one week before its starts, you will receive an email with instructions for accessing it.

Login Instructions

1. Log into the system using a username and password. To log in, go to D2L.
2. Enter your academic network credentials, the same user ID & password you use to log into accessECC or my.elgin.edu.
3. Select login.

Getting Started

To be successful, you need to be prepared with the necessary technology, such as laptops or Chromebooks, and access to the Internet. ECC's technology lending program offers these resources through the Library Circulation Desk, including access to graphing calculators. If you're unsure exactly what you need, speak to your instructor. You can request assistance with these items by email at circdesk@elgin.edu. Public access computers are available in the college's computer labs or library on campus and offer Internet access, software, and computer print stations.

2. A computer that runs reliably in the current web environment is ideally purchased within the previous five years.
3. Visit the D2L browser support page for platform requirements.

Reading Support in D2L
