Two fiber arts club members display knitted and crocheted projects on a table.

Create, Learn, and Connect Through Textile Arts

The Fiber Arts Club at Elgin Community College is a welcoming space for anyone interested in textile and fiber crafts. Whether you are brand new to fiber arts or already experienced, the club offers opportunities to learn and practice skills like knitting, crocheting, embroidery, sewing, weaving, and felting. Members share techniques, exchange ideas, and receive support from peers and mentors who enjoy working with textiles.

The club also builds community by encouraging members to work on creative projects together, participate in challenges, and showcase handmade pieces. It’s a relaxing and inspiring environment where students can unwind, express creativity, and develop new skills. Materials and guidance are available to help students learn at their own pace.

Join the Fiber Arts Club to explore your creativity, make meaningful connections, and celebrate the art of handmade craftwork. Create beautiful projects—and lasting friendships—along the way.
