ELGIN, Ill. — Elgin Community College (ECC) is joining colleges nationwide this April to celebrate Community College Month, highlighting the impact of affordable, high-quality education and the pathways it creates for students and the regional workforce.
Community College Month is an annual grassroots national campaign led by the Association of Community College Trustees to raise awareness of the value community colleges bring to their communities.
At ECC, that impact is seen every day—from students preparing to transfer to four-year universities to those gaining hands-on training for in-demand careers in fields like manufacturing, health care, and technology.
Throughout April, ECC will share stories that highlight student success, career exploration, and the people who make the college community strong.
ECC will also host two community events at 1700 Spartan Drive:
Wednesday, April 15, 5:30 to 8 pm
Building B (Jobe Lounge).
Prospective students and community members can explore programs, meet faculty, and learn about the enrollment process.
Wednesday, April 22, 9 am to 12 pm
Building J Event Center.
Students and community members can connect with local employers across a variety of industries.
