ECC's Engine Mechanical Repair Specialist program offers a Basic Vocational Specialist Certificate, teaching essential automotive engine repair skills. This program combines classroom learning with practical, hands-on experience to ensure you gain comprehensive expertise in all areas of engine service. You will master crucial methods for engine disassembly, inspection, measurement, and reassembly, as well as fundamental machining practices. This well-rounded training prepares you for a successful career in engine repair.

An Engine Mechanical Repair Specialist focuses on repairing, maintaining, and optimizing automotive and engine systems. Engine Mechanical Repair Specialists work in various settings, including repair shops, automotive dealerships, and manufacturing facilities. Their goal is to ensure that engines perform reliably and efficiently. Their responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Diagnosing Engine Problems: Identifying issues through diagnostic tools and equipment and conducting tests and inspections to determine the cause of engine malfunctions.

Performing Repairs: Disassembling and reassembling engines and replacing or repairing defective parts.

Maintaining Engines: Carrying out routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, filter replacements, and tuning.

Conducting Inspections: Inspecting engines for wear, damage, or other issues.

After completing this degree, you can pursue the Engine Mechanical Repair Specialist certificate.
