Exciting opportunities await if you're enrolled in an Illinois High School Diploma prep or ESL program at ECC! Our free classes cover various career paths, allowing you to explore potential roles in industries that require skilled, certified workers. You’ll gain practical experience and build confidence in your abilities.

  • Choose from classes in early childhood education, health care, business, finance, IT, and industrial arts, based on your interests.
  • Receive personalized coaching from our transitions coordinator. They'll help you discuss your academic and career plans and provide valuable guidance tailored to your goals and aspirations.

As an enrolled ECC student, you can access free computers or Chromebooks. This resource allows you to develop digital and basic skills, enhancing your readiness for further education and the workforce. You’ll also benefit from workshops, tutoring support, and career readiness training designed to strengthen communication, job search skills, and long-term academic success opportunities.

Stevens Amendment: Approximately $575,888 (40%) of the Illinois Adult Education and Literacy Program cost at Elgin Community College is federally funded under Title II, Adult Education and Family Literacy of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act of 2014.
