Spring 2021 Offerings
The majority of spring classes are being delivered online in either a synchronous or asynchronous format. A limited number of hybrid courses will be offered. Hybrid classes will conclude their in-person component on Sunday, May 9, 2021, two weeks prior to the end of the spring semester, while the online portion of these classes may be scheduled through the end of the semester. Online-only courses are delivered 100% online, with no face-to-face sessions required. Classes are taught entirely online following instructor timelines and learning outcomes. You interact mostly through discussion boards and written messages, and all assignments are submitted online.
Online-Synchronous Classes New Format
Online-synchronous courses are delivered 100% online with real-time specifically scheduled online interaction with your instructor and/or class. These classes allow for engagement in a remote classroom.
Hybrid means a class of both face-to-face and online instruction. The definition of a hybrid course requires typically a 50% split between face-to-face and online instruction. For spring, the percentage to be delivered face-to-face or online may be more flexible and need not equal 50%. This definition limited to the spring 2021 semester.
Face-to-face classes are traditional on-campus classroom instruction where students and instructors meet in the same physical location at a scheduled time and day. These regular 16-week classes are ideal for those who enjoy direct interaction with peers and instructors. Face-to-face meeting days and times for each section vary depending on the course and learning needs.

Accelerated Learning Program (ALP)
Rather than taking two semesters to complete ENG-098 and ENG-101, if you're placed into ENG-098 can take both classes in just one semester. Some ENG-098 students take the ENG-101 course with students placed directly into ENG101. The ENG-098 class meets immediately following their ENG-101 class for additional support.
To ensure success with online classes, you should do your best to have access to computer hardware and software, including a webcam and Wi-Fi service. Please contact the Dean of Students if you need additional assistance.
