Support Groups

Support groups offer a safe space for students to connect with peers who share similar experiences or challenges. Led by trained counselors or Wellness Peer facilitators, these groups provide guidance, discussion, and mutual support while addressing a variety of student needs and concerns. Support groups are voluntary and confidential and are available to students who are currently enrolled and attending classes.

Connect, Share, and Grow Together

Why join a support group?

  • Connect with others who understand what you’re going through
  • Learn new coping strategies and skills
  • Gain encouragement and motivation in a supportive environment
  • Reduce feelings of isolation or stress

Who benefits from support groups

  • Students experiencing stress, anxiety, or depression
  • Those navigating life transitions, academic pressures, or relationship challenges
  • Students exploring identity, cultural, or personal growth issues
  • Anyone who wants peer support in addition to individual counseling

Students, student organizations, or campus departments can request a new support or interest-based group through Wellness Services. We welcome ideas for groups that promote wellness, community, and personal growth.

All groups are designed to be inclusive, confidential, and open to students who are currently enrolled and attending classes. After receiving your request, a Wellness Professional will follow up to discuss feasibility, scheduling, and next steps.
