The Write Place
Free one-on-one help, on-campus and online.
Write Place tutors help with brainstorming, planning, drafting, revising, and editing all types of school writing, including research papers, essays, reports, and applications. Tutors can also assist with reading skills. Working with an English tutor enhances language skills through a structured, personalized approach, boosting communication and academic success.
The default appointment is 30 minutes per day. If the tutor is available, sessions can be extended for an additional half-hour if the student has questions. After an appointment, students can stay, work on the assignment, and ask questions. Tutors also help students better understand assignment requirements, grammar, citation styles, and instructor feedback. Appointments can be scheduled in person or online, making fitting support into a busy schedule easier. Whether you're stuck getting started or fine-tuning a final draft, the Write Place offers a supportive space to strengthen your writing.
