Online Tutoring

Get the support you need with free online tutoring. Live online one-on-one sessions are available up to seven days a week through Zoom. Learn about live online tutoring and make an appointment. Tutoring support is also available online through D2L. Online tutoring is available for the following subjects:

Enjoy the convenience of tutoring anytime, anywhere, through D2L. Students can sign up for access to Tutoring in our learning management system by using the button below to enroll in online tutoring. Tutoring Center staff will then add you to the online tutoring D2L section and explain how it works. Students can post questions to Discussion threads and post papers in the Assignments tab for tutors to review. Tutors will respond to student posts within 24 hours. No appointments are necessary for D2L tutoring.

Drop-In Tutoring

Drop-in tutoring is free and available for many subjects across several locations on campus. Come as often as you want, and stay as long as you need.

The Write Place (Writing, English, and Reading Support)

Whether working on an essay, science report, or book review, The Write Place provides individual or collaborative professional advice on all aspects of writing, including essays, reports, and basic English, grammar, and punctuation skills before it is submitted for grading. Live online sessions are available through Zoom. Additional online support is offered through D2L with tutors responding to questions or submissions within 24 hours. We can also help with the following skills:

  • Formatting papers
  • Speech outlines
  • Vocabulary
  • Making your writing stronger
  • Reading skills

Math Lab

Use them to collaborate in small study groups, work on online homework, and help with placement test preparation, class projects, and studying for final exams. Become self-reliant in math! You can use the Math Lab if you're enrolled in mathematics courses at ECC. Visit the Math Lab Schedule spreadsheet to find the days and times instructors can help you with your specific course. Look at the bottom of the spreadsheet to find and click on each day.
