How do I login to Microsoft 365?
- In your web browser of choice, navigate to Microsoft 365.

Enter your Elgin email address. Click the "Next" button.
- If prompted, select "Work or school account" on the next screen. If not, skip to step 4.
- Enter your password and click the "Sign in" button.
If this is your first time logging into Microsoft 365, follow the steps for setting up Duo Mobile, ECC's default Multi-Factor Authenticator, in the next section.
If you log into Microsoft 365 for the first time, you will be prompted to set up a Multi-Factor Authenticator. Please follow these steps to set up ECC's default authenticator, Duo Mobile.
- Click the "Next" button on the "Help us protect your account" page.

Click "I want to use a different authenticator app."

Microsoft will direct you to a page with a QR code.
At this time, you will need to install Duo Mobile on your phone from the iOS App Store or the Google Play Store for Android.

Once installed, launch the Duo Mobile application on your phone and click the Plus (+) button or + Add in the upper right-hand corner.
- Click "Use QR code" in the Duo Mobile application.
- Scan the QR code provided by Microsoft using your phone's camera.

Duo Mobile should now show the added Microsoft account with a six-digit passcode on your phone.
Enter the passcode from the Duo Mobile app on your computer and click the "Next" button.
- On the next page, click the "Done" button.
- On the Microsoft sign-in page, login again using your ECC email address and password.
- On the "Stay signed in" page, click:
- The "Yes" button if on a personal device.
- The "No" button if on a shared device.
All available Microsoft 365 applications are on the left sidebar and can be used within your browser.
You can also choose to install the applications on your local computer.
- Click the "Install apps" button in the upper right.
- Choose "Microsoft 265 apps" to download.
- Launch the OfficeSetup.exe file from your downloads folder and follow the installation prompts.
