Maintaining Financial Aid Eligibility
Receiving financial aid is an ongoing responsibility. To continue receiving funding, students must maintain eligibility throughout their time at ECC.
Key Requirements for Maintaining Aid:
- Standards of Academic Progress (SOAP): Maintain the required GPA, complete at least 67% of attempted credits, and finish your program within the maximum timeframe.
- Enrollment Status: Keep your course load at the level required for your aid type. Dropping below the required credit hours may reduce or cancel your aid.
- Follow-Up on Documentation: Submit all requested forms and documents on time. Delays can impact the processing and disbursement of your aid.
- Communication: Notify the Financial Aid Office of any changes, such as withdrawing, taking a leave of absence, or transferring to a different program.
Note: Regularly check your aid status in the accessECC portal and meet with a financial aid advisor if you have questions or anticipate changes in enrollment.
