Fernando Fernandez: Thank you, ECC, for helping shape my future.

I originally enrolled at Elgin Community College after my wife decided to pursue her education there and encouraged me to join her. What began as a shared decision became one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. As I prepare to graduate in May 2026 alongside my wife, I am grateful not only for the opportunity to earn my degree but also for the education, growth, and memories we gained together throughout our journey at ECC. 

Elgin Community College has been a great journey for both my personal growth and education. The students and professors contributed to a positive experience throughout my time there. As a veteran, I especially appreciate the recognition and support ECC provides for veterans. 

I have always felt welcomed at ECC. The atmosphere is friendly, the resources are readily available, and the memories I made will stay with me forever. Thank you, ECC, for helping shape my future. I encourage anyone considering enrollment to become an ECC student; you will not regret it.
