Erick Hernandez: I am onto the next step in my life, continuing my education in film

To me, the most magical moment in film was in Martin Scorsese’s “Mean Streets” when Robert De Niro was introduced into the world while "Jumpin’ Jack Flash" by The Rolling Stones plays. That singular moment solidified what I wanted to do with the rest of my life. That passion for film has only grown here at ECC, thanks to my professors and classmates, who have shown me what it means to be a filmmaker.  

Now I am onto the next step in my life, continuing my education in film at NYU [New York University] Tisch School of the Arts. While I am terrified of this prospect, of that uncertain future that stares right at me, at least I can say I stared back.
