2023 - Take Five with…Jillian Janicki

Meet Jillian Janicki, our new Director of the Phlebotomy Program! Janicki isn’t a stranger to ECC’s campus, having received her Clinical Laboratory Technician (CLT) certificate when she was first here as a student. As an ECC alumna, Janicki loves relating to her students, guiding them in career advice, study tips, and all things Phlebotomy.

Binge watcher, book club, or both? Both! I love reading fantasy and psychological thrillers, but I also pride myself on my knowledge of movies and TV shows!

Cats, dogs, or house plants? Dogs! I have a Yorkshire Terrier and a Doberman Pinscher; they’re the best companions!

What’s your favorite spot on campus? The library – nothing beats the smell of books!

What’s on your playlist/podcast list? Mostly 90s and early 2000s alternative and rock. I love music; it’s helped me through so much in my life!

What did you want to be when you grew up? A paleontologist! I’m a huge dinosaur nerd with a big T-Rex skull in my office!
