Three ECC Baseball Players Named First Team All-Region

ECC student athlete Nick Weaver on the baseball field

Baseball student-athletes Nick Weaver, Josh Caccia, and Jack Kerno were named First Team All-Region 4 for their performance in the 2025 season.

Weaver was additionally named the Region 4 Defensive Player of the Year. He recorded 71 runs on 68 hits with 42 RBI with a .391 batting average and a .500 on-base percentage. He led NJCAA Division II in runners caught stealing percentage with a 0.49.

Kerno tallied 63 runs on 68 hits with 56 RBI, including 20 doubles, three triples, and six home runs. Kerno batted .393 with a .647 slugging and .500 on-base percentage. He held a .994 fielding percentage with 343 total chances, 317 putouts, and 24 assists. Nationally, Kerno ranked 21st in total chances and 23rd in putouts.

Caccia had a standout freshman season with a 10-0 record. He ranked first in ERA (1.27) and tenth in wins in DII.

The Spartans ended their 2025 campaign with a 41-14 record.
