2024 - Thirty-three New Representatives Participate in ECC's Annual College Night October 8

Representatives from 147 colleges and universities, including 33 new participants, will be available to meet with Elgin Community College (ECC) students on Tuesday, October 8, at the annual College Night. This free event, designed to help students and families explore higher education options, will be held from 6 to 8 pm in ECC’s Events Center, Building J, at 1700 Spartan Drive, Elgin, Illinois. Guests are encouraged to park in the red lot marked “J” and enter through Building J’s lobby.

Registration for ECC’s College Night is recommended and can be completed at app.strivescan.com/registration. After registering, attendees will receive a bar code that colleges can scan to add students to their mailing lists. Current college students, high school students, and other prospective students are encouraged to attend the event to learn more about schools they may want to transfer to or consider for future enrollment.

“It’s hard to visit every college you’re interested in,” said Elizabeth Herrera, manager of student recruitment and outreach. “College Night offers a unique opportunity to meet with representatives from many colleges all in one place, allowing you to explore what each school has to offer. By attending, you can gather valuable information to help you narrow down which colleges you’d like to visit in person.”

This year’s event will feature 33 new colleges and universities, offering attendees an even broader selection of institutions to explore. New participants include Clark University, Indiana University Bloomington, University of Alabama Tuscaloosa, University of Wisconsin Madison, and Texas Christian University.
