The Elgin Community College Arts Center presents a fresh and funny salute to Americana, “The Wonder Break Years,” on October 14 at 7 pm in the Blizzard Theatre at ECC’s Spartan Drive Campus, 1700 Spartan Drive, Elgin, Ill. “The Wonder Bread Years” starring Pat Hazell, one of the original writers for “Seinfeld” and a regular on “The Tonight Show,” is a fast-paced, hilarious production that gracefully walks the line between stand-up comedy and theater.
“Showtime” declared Pat Hazell one of the five funniest people in America. A critically acclaimed playwright and a contributing commentator to National Public Radio, Hazell is recognized for his genuine, funny Americana humor and salute to pop culture.
From sitting at the kid's table to riding in the way back of the Country Squire wagon to TVs without remote controls, The Wonder Bread Years is a comic bullseye for both Baby Boomers and those who raised them.
Tickets for the show are $42 and can be purchased online at eccartscenter.org or by phone at 847-622-0300.
