The Elgin Community College athletic programs had 35 student-athletes earn Academic All-Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference (ISCC) honors for the 2021-22 school year.
Students with a 3.0 or higher grade point average are eligible to receive each award one time during their college career. Academic All-Conference first-year recipients had to have at least 24 credit hours, while the Dick Durrant honorees had 48 or more accumulated credits.
First-year selections on the men's side included baseball players Scott Emma, Isaac Kopalchick, and Lorenzo Ranallo; golfers Jack Charles and Brandon Jakl; soccer players Nathan Ludwig, Mark Schuster, and Carlos Segura; and tennis player Joshua Reyes.
First-year selections on the women’s side included basketball players Ariana Marchan, Alyssa Santiago, and Layla Tiongco; soccer players Daniela Garay and Kayla Mathis; tennis player Alisa Donga; and volleyball players Mackenzie Field and Adelyse Gonzales.
Seven from baseball earned the sophomore award, including Alijah Acevedo, Gavin Crofoot, Mauricio Grosso, Jon Howard, Andrew Knowlton, Graham Rachow, and Nick Schuman. Other men's honorees include Jefferson Morataya from soccer and Mavrick Schee from tennis.
The women earning the award as sophomores include basketball player Jessie Dumoulin; soccer players Kaley Kowal, Natalie McGinnis, and Gloria Mora; softball players Haley Geistler, Hailey Hall, and Natalie Stumph; tennis player Gislle Brito; and volleyball player Kaila Kammes.
