Elgin Community College across Lake Spartan

Together, the President of ECC and the Assistant Vice President of Student Services and Development/Dean of Students recognize the high academic scholarship demonstrated during the semester. This recognition will appear on a student's grade report and on a student's transcript. 

There are three levels of academic honors for students who complete a minimum of six credit hours of undergraduate-level courses (100 level or above) during a semester:

  • President's List for those with a term grade point average of 4.00
  • Dean's List for those with a term grade point average of 3.5 to 3.99
  • Honor's List for those with a term grade point average of 3.00 to 3.49
