2020 - Chelsea Biondolillo joins ECC Writers Center Reading Series event February 27

Elgin Community College welcomes Chelsea Biondolillo as the first featured guest of the spring 2020 Writers Center Reading Series on Thursday, Feb. 27. The event begins at 7:30 p.m. in the ECC Arts Center, Building H, Room H142, 1700 Spartan Drive, Elgin.

Biondolillo is the author of “The Skinned Bird,” and two prose chapbooks: “Ologies” and “#Lovesong.” Her work has been collected in “Best American Science and Nature Writing 2016, Waveform: Twenty-first Century Essays by Women,” and “How We Speak To One Another: An Essay Daily Reader,” among others.

She is a 2019 Oregon Literary Arts fellow and a former Olive B. O’Connor fellow at Colgate University. Biondolillo’s work has been supported by the Arizona Commission on the Arts, Wyoming Arts Council, and the Consortium for Science and Policy Outcomes/NSF.

All Writers Center readings are free and open to the public. A pre-reading dinner with Biondolillo will be held at 5:30 p.m. Books will be available for sale and signing. For dinner reservations or more information, please contact Rachael Stewart at rstewart@elgin.edu.
