Discover the role of respiratory therapists in various health care settings and learn about the required courses, admission requirements, and preparation needed to begin the program. The presentation also reviews the abilities and professional behaviors that students are expected to demonstrate, along with the required health records, immunizations, CPR training, and the background check and drug screening necessary for clinical participation.

Additionally, students learn about support options, such as the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), which may help cover educational and career-related expenses.

Altogether, the session helps applicants understand the program’s expectations and the path toward becoming a respiratory therapist.
