If you’re creative and love video and design, a career in video production or motion graphics could be perfect for you. At Elgin Community College (ECC), you’ll gain hands-on experience bringing ideas to life with real-world projects.

In the Videography program, you’ll learn to:

  • Capture video and audio with professional cameras, lighting, and sound equipment.
  • Apply design principles and storytelling techniques through video, motion graphics, and audio.
  • Plan productions using storyboarding and screenwriting.
  • Edit and create motion graphics using industry-standard software.

If you already have a bachelor’s degree, ECC offers a videography certificate that focuses solely on video skills. No general education classes are required.

If you’re starting, the Videography & Motion Graphics AAS program teaches you how to become a cinematographer, editor, producer, or motion graphics artist.
