Brightspace offers powerful accessibility features—including screen reader support, text-to-speech tools, and accessible document viewing—to ensure every learner can fully participate.
- Visit elgin.edu/d2l
- Log in using your ECC credentials
- Click your course tile under "My Courses" to begin
- A laptop or desktop purchased within the last 5 years
- Reliable internet (1.5 Mbps or higher)

ReadSpeaker
ReadSpeaker lets students listen to page content out loud. It’s helpful for students who learn better by hearing or need assistive technology support.
It works in:
- Course content pages
- Assignments
- Discussions
- PDFs via docReader
Students just click the “Listen” button to begin.
