Medical Examination
Administrative Procedure 5.402
A written medical report of a physical examination by a qualified physician may be required of an Elgin Community College employee, when mandated by an external governmental agency. The employee will then be responsible for the cost of such an examination.
The President is authorized to require a physical or psychological examination of a full-time employee when, in the President's judgment, such an examination is relevant to the employee's job performance or employment status. In such instance, the examining physician must be approved by the President and/or the College. The College will be responsible for the cost of such special examination.
Any medical or psychological examination required as certification under the Family and Medical Leave Act will be pursuant to the Family and Medical Leave Procedure (5.306).
