Maternity/Child Rearing Leave for Eligible Employees

Administrative Procedure 5.301

Elgin Community College will comply with the Pregnancy Discrimination Act of 1978 and the Family and Medical Leave Act.

Accordingly, maternity/child rearing leave for full-time employees, not included in employee organizations having collective bargaining agreements with the College, will be considered an employee disability subject to the provisions of the Family and Medical Leave Procedure (5.306) and Sick Leave Procedure (5.304).
