Elgin Community College, Harper College, and Chicago-Cook Workforce partnership offer day and evening classes and career skills development at our Hanover Park extension site in the following primary areas (all of which are free of charge):

Career Classes

Select college-level courses are also offered at the site through Elgin Community College and Harper College’s affordable tuition rates.

WorkNet® Center

Our on-site WorkNet® Center provides career resources, workshops, training assistance, and volunteer and job opportunities.

This center is an affiliate of the North Suburban Cook County American Job Center. Customers can visit this location in person or access program information online. The center offers training referrals, career counseling, job listings, and similar employment-related services. If you are unemployed or underemployed, considering a career change, or seeking training, we support all aspects of your career development and enhancement.

ABE/ASE/ESL Classes

Complete the student inquiry form to begin signing up for classes. Or, visit us in person. Please bring the following:

  1. Photo ID
  2. Letter of separation from high school (only for those 16-17 years of age)
  3. Proof of public assistance: LINK or medical card (only for those receiving public assistance)

Stevens Amendment: Approximately $718,727 (40%) of the Illinois Adult Education and Literacy Program cost at Elgin Community College is federally funded under Title II, Adult Education and Family Literacy of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act of 2014.
