Safe Zone
Safe Zone is a program created specifically for colleges and universities to increase knowledge of lesbian, gay, bi-sexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) diversity and acceptance. This is achieved by providing LGBTQ education and facilitating exercises that promote new perspectives regarding:
- Stereotypes of the LGBTQ community
- Heterosexual privilege
- Challenges within the LGBTQ community regarding:
- Societal acceptance
- Their individual process of coming out
