Where will your ECC experience lead you?
The Role of Athletics at ECC
Excited to Recruit Talented Athletes!
At ECC, athletics are more than competition—they’re a celebration of teamwork, leadership, and community spirit. Our intercollegiate athletic program fosters a supportive environment that enables student-athletes to grow academically, physically, and socially while representing ECC with pride.
As a Spartan, you’ll build lifelong skills that prepare you for success on and off the field. Through collaboration with coaches, faculty, and staff, you’ll receive academic support, leadership development, and opportunities to give back through community service.
ECC student-athletes compete in NJCAA Region 4 events, proudly earning championships in Men’s and Women’s Basketball, Baseball, and Softball. Many Spartans continue their athletic and academic journeys at universities across the country, including Wake Forest, Coastal Carolina, and Kent State.
Whether you’re stepping onto the court, field, or into the stands, you’re part of something bigger—a community that values excellence, inclusion, and Spartan pride. Ready to take your game and education to the next level? Join us and be part of the energy that drives ECC forward.
Athletes Committed to Excellence (ACE) Program
The ACE Program is designed with student-athletes in mind—because at ECC, we understand the unique balance between academics and athletics. Through Athletes Committed to Excellence (ACE), students receive personalized academic support from advisors who truly understand the athlete experience.
Whether it’s managing class schedules around practices and games or staying on track toward your degree, ACE advisors are here to help you succeed in every area of college life. The program also offers free tutoring, access to campus resources, and the opportunity to count tutoring hours toward required study time.
With ACE, you’re never navigating the challenges of being a student-athlete alone—you have a team behind you, dedicated to helping you excel in the classroom, in competition, and beyond.
Are you interested in joining a great team?
As a student-athlete at ECC, you'll learn to lead, work with a team, and persist toward a common goal. Off the field, we'll help you build your time management and study skills and become a successful college student. Many of our student-athletes compete at universities nationwide.
