Back by popular demand! Chicago Poet Laureate, Mayda del Valle, returns to Elgin Community College!    

She will launch the 2026 Reading Series during our Hispanic/Latinx Heritage Month. Born and raised on the South Side of Chicago, she is the author of "A South Side Girl’s Guide to Love and Sex and The University of Hip Hop."
