What happens when educators step beyond their own borders and bring what they learn back to campus? This session explores the impact of ECC’s global education programs through the experiences of those who have participated in the Beyond Borders: Global Engagement Professional Development Program. Participants will hear how experiences abroad have shaped perspectives, influenced teaching and professional practice, and created new ways to connect with students and colleagues. Together, we’ll explore why global learning and intercultural awareness matter in community colleges and how bringing global perspectives back to campus can strengthen the students and communities we serve.
- Learn how ECC educators have experienced global education and how those experiences shaped their perspectives.
- Explore how international experiences influence teaching, curriculum, student engagement, and professional practice.
- Understand why global learning and intercultural awareness matter for community college students, educators, and the communities we serve.
