What Opportunities Are Available Beyond the Classroom?

Take your learning to the next level by joining ECC’s award-winning Speech and Debate Team. As part of this nationally recognized team, you’ll gain hands-on experience in persuasive speaking, argumentation, and critical thinking—skills that will set you apart in the classroom and your career. Scholarships are available. Active members may also apply for membership in Phi Rho Pi, a national speech honorary organization. Can I Transfer to Earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication?

Yes! Many students at ECC begin their studies here and then transfer to a university to complete a Bachelor’s degree in Communication or related fields.
