Academic Advising

While at ECC, you'll have an academic advisor starting your first semester. Your advisor will work one-on-one with you to plan your courses and help you succeed academically and, ultimately, in your professional career. Your advisor is your coach, encouraging your success when you need extra support or helping you create a development plan to get back on track. They're here for you and help you by following up with instructors to help ensure you get what you need to be successful in your studies.

Student Success Coaches

Our Success Coaches are here to provide students with individualized, intrusive, high-touch, holistic support to overcome barriers and develop the skills necessary to achieve academic, personal, and professional growth.

Transfer Services

If you plan to transfer toward a bachelor's degree, there's a lot to consider. Which colleges offer the program you're interested in? Will your new school accept your ECC credits? What if you don't know what you want to study? Transfer advisors work with you to answer those questions and create an individual transfer plan based on your program of study.

Career Development Advising

Choosing a major is one of the most important decisions you will make, and we want to ensure that you have the necessary information to make a well-informed decision. ECC will work with you through career assessments, one-on-one meetings, and other resources to explore career options that lead you to a career you're passionate about.

Spartan Success Program

Our early alert program is a vital component of the Spartan Success efforts to connect students with people and resources across campus and in the community, helping students overcome challenges and be successful in their classes. When a faculty member raises an early alert for a student, an academic advisor meets with the student to better understand any challenges and help develop a customized plan for continued academic success.

As a student, if you receive an early alert notification and meeting request from your academic advisor, follow up and schedule a meeting as soon as possible. This program is designed with your success and well-being in mind and is not punitive or harmful. Your success is our success!
