With the support of my husband, I decided to follow my heart and apply to the Massage Therapy Program at ECC. I had been a stay-at-home mom for three years but knew that I had another purpose. Starting school meant that my son and I would not spend as much time together, but ECC made it easy for us as my son became a student at the Early Childhood Lab School on campus. This past year, as I grew into someone I wanted to be, my son blossomed as well.
The Massage Therapy Program was outstanding. I went through it as a full-time student. Through the program, I gained confidence in myself as a person and as a professional. I maintained a 4.0 GPA and received two ECC Foundation scholarships. Most importantly, I learned how to integrate my passion for supporting people on their path to wellness into a career.
To me, graduation means I have evolved to embrace my life experience and integrate it into my role as a licensed massage therapist and to be an even better role model to my four-year-old. Thanks to my son's experience at the Early Childhood Lab School, he has developed socially, emotionally, and intellectually. I never imagined my son and I would have our needs met together at the same school. I am so thankful.
