Elgin Community College continues to closely monitor the COVID-19 (coronavirus) situation in Italy. Upon careful review of the latest travel advisories issued to Italy by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Warning - Level 3, Avoid Nonessential Travel and the U.S. Department of State Level 3: Reconsider Travel and a Level 4 - Do Not Travel to certain regions, the College has decided to postpone the Culinary Arts and Hospitality study abroad program to Urbania, Italy until May 2021. The decision comes after an increased number of confirmed COVID-19 in Italy and our responsibility for duty of care to the college community.
