ECC Wellness Services encourages you to become active participants in their overall health and well-being by providing the support that promotes positive wellness. Using a holistic approach, Wellness Services focuses on eight dimensions of wellness to empower you to achieve their full potential. These eight dimensions are: environmental, emotional, financial, intellectual, occupational/academic, physical, social, and spiritual.
If you are struggling with the current changes in our country and experiencing anxiety, depression, and/or feelings of loneliness, you are not alone. - Campus Support Groups and Events: Achieve your potential by taking part in a small group session that meets over a few weeks. Learn more about campus support groups and events

- Counseling Pamphlet Collection
- Crisis Intervention: Offered during hours of operation, for you who are experiencing a psychological or emotional crisis and require immediate help and intervention. Wellness professionals are members of ECC's behavioral intervention team (BIT). Examples of severe crises include Suicidal or homicidal thoughts or impulses; Sexual or physical assault; Hearing voices; Misperceiving reality, and Overwhelming loss (such as a death in the family). - Short-Term, One-On-One Sessions: We offer 3 to 4 one-on-one sessions about psychosocial issues that impact academic performance. After a consultation, if the wellness professional determines our short-term services cannot meet the student's needs, we will help with locating appropriate off-campus resources.
- AID Crisis Text Line: Provides help for those in need of mental health support and referrals to other human service agencies in the area for needs such as financial guidance, health care support, legal quandaries, shelter locations, support groups, and more. Heath & Wellness FAQ
Here are some general FAQ regarding Health & Wellness.
- One-on-One sessions: Currently enrolled students can receive up to four sessions with a Wellness Professional per semester. These sessions can be used for support and to discuss psychosocial issues that impact academic performance.
- Crisis Intervention: Currently, enrolled students can see a Wellness Professional if experiencing an emotional crisis. Examples of emotional turmoil include suicidal thoughts, sexual or physical assault, hearing voices/misperceiving reality, death of a loved one, etc.
- Support groups, seminars, and workshops.
Yes. A Wellness Professional can discuss referral options (including options for students with no insurance) if seeking either of these services.
No. Appointments can be made, but are not required. You can drop-in to see a Wellness Professional any time during hours of operation.
