The award-winning Elgin Youth Symphony Orchestra (EYSO) is one of the largest, oldest, and most esteemed youth orchestras in the nation. Its five orchestras, brass choir, percussion ensembles, and thriving Chamber Music Institute provide nearly 400 students from 70 communities a rich, comprehensive learning environment that promotes curiosity, imagination, and critical thinking, while rewarding audiences with thrilling, innovative concerts. The 2019-2020 season, MOVE, explores the rich traditions of Dalcroze, ballet, and folk dance. The season will feature Elgin’s acclaimed BFH as well as Joffrey Ballet artist Luis Vazquez.
