Revered songwriter Rodney Crowell arrived in Nashville in 1972 and in the 46 years since has become part of the very marrow of the Music City. From friendships with legends like Guy and Susanna Clark to two Grammy Awards and becoming part of the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame, Crowell is a true treasure of American music. His songs have been covered by Emmylou Harris, Waylon Jennings, Bob Seger and Keith Urban. His latest album, Close Ties, looks back at his long, varied career and features Rosanne Cash, Sheryl Crow and The Civil Wars’ John Paul White.
