Search for Elgin Community College’s Next President

Our search for Elgin Community College’s next President is underway. The Board of Trustees identified Academic Search, a firm from Washington, DC, to facilitate our process. They have outlined a search process intended to conclude in December, with an appointment to begin early in 2025. Search Committee members are being confirmed, and work has begun on the position announcement.

Constituent Input Survey

Academic Search, an executive search firm specializing in higher education, has been retained to conduct a national search for the next President of Elgin Community College. The consultants will be meeting with various constituent groups to gather input prior to launching the search. This survey provides an alternative vehicle for providing input if individuals are unable to attend their scheduled listening session or would like to provide input anonymously. In addition, an open forum for all is scheduled for Thursday, September 12, from 5 to 6 pm in person at ECC’s Spartan Auditorium located in Building G, Room G100.

Campus and community listening sessions are scheduled between September 5 and 13, 2024. Listening Sessions are 45 minutes in length. See the schedule below.
