It is FINALLY May! After that nice, warm weather in mid-April, flowers are bursting out all over (see our Welcome May Flowers display!). Our displays are bursting with interesting resources! Get started by "Spring-ing" into new ideas with an eclectic mix of fascinating topics (1st floor by circulation entrance). For Mental Health Awareness Month, you will find some great resources to help with self-care and self-awareness. May is also Military Appreciation Month. We have featured some works on PTSD, female soldiers, first person accounts, and military history.  Jewish American Heritage Month is also in May, and our main display on 1st floor reflects that rich heritage.

Students! Near the reference desk, you will find a Take a Study Break display with some relaxing activities, such as colored pencils and bookmarks, origami, treats, and more. The resources displayed will let you escape into whatever world you choose! Remember that there are even more videos in our DVD collection or streaming!

On the second floor, check out books by some of the most famous Young Adult Authors. Highlighted are Nicola Yoon, John Green, Neil Gaiman, Laini Taylor, and Judy Blume (did you know there's a new movie version of "Are you There God? It's Me, Margaret?") It's a good time to reread some of Judy Blume's classic works. We continue our children's poetry as well on the main display on the 2nd floor.
