In addition, financial assistance for college students is available.

Accelerated Summer Classes: ECC offers a variety of class options to fit your schedule. During the summer, classes last just 3 to 8 weeks, and are offered both in person and online.

Elgin Community College has been recognized as a Top 150 community college in the nation by The Aspen Institute in 2021, 2019, 2017, and 2013. ECC is the only Chicago-land community college recognized as an Aspen Prize Top 150 college more than two times. In 2022, ECC was named among the top 25 colleges nationwide as a semifinalist for the 2023 $1 million Aspen Prize for Community College Excellence, the signature recognition of high achievement and performance among America's community colleges. Eligible colleges must show strong and improving student outcomes in critical areas, including retention, completion, transfer, and equity.
