Articulated Credit

Designed for high school students who plan to attend Elgin Community College, the articulated-credit program offers college credit for career and technical courses that you take at your high school.

How It Works


  • Take career or tech-prep classes at your high school that have been designated as “articulated-credit” courses. Tuition is free.
  • Earn at least a B in each of your articulated-credit courses.
  • Apply to ECC within 27 months.
  • Get college credit! 

Who Qualifies

The articulated-credit program is open to high school seniors who plan to enroll at ECC and who attend high school in one of these districts:

  • District U-46
  • District 300
  • District 301
  • District 303

Course Options

Choose from 20-plus career and technical programs, ranging from automotive technology to child development. Options vary depending on your school district; contact us at admissions@elgin.edu for details.
