Overview

Do you have an undeniable passion for cuisine, pastries, and fine dining? A degree in Culinary Arts and Hospitality from Elgin Community College is a great way to enter a delicious career in an industry that continues to grow.

At ECC, you can pursue an Associate of Applied Science degree in each major hospitality discipline: Culinary Arts, Pastry Arts, and Restaurant Management. In the program, you will learn about every aspect of the industry while developing technical and employability skills. You will acquire skills in the core courses that are taught in a classroom or online and apply these new skills in one of our five commercial kitchen labs as well as our student-run, fine-dining restaurant, Spartan Terrace.

If you are already working in the industry and need to enhance your technical skills, consider a shorter-term commitment by earning a certificate. If you are seeking a four-year degree, ECC’s Culinary Arts and Hospitality Program has transfer agreements with many four-year institutions.
